Thee X4 860K is an outdated CPU that doesn't do very well in gaming. It lacks L3 cache, which games generally rely heavy on. The i3 6100's significantly higher single core performance, hyperthreading and upgrade path make it a much, much better option.

I know, I just thought I'd explain it to you since no one else really did :)

I did....

I would strongly recommend against that CPU versus the i3-6100. It is significantly slower.

The i3-6100 is significantly faster than the X4 860K.

The Intel Core i3-6100 is faster.

Not true. The Intel Core i3-6100 has much better performance than the AMD Athlon X4 860K. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i3-6100-vs-AMD-Athlon-II-X4-860K/3511vs3265

No one properly explained it, they just said that it is "better". :)
