Believe it or not autocad is still a single threaded program. So it will only use one core. So you really don't need a xeon, a i3 would be fine but a i5 is great.

Yeah I noticed that, I run it on my i3 380M laptop, but i still think the xeon is very multifuntional, workstation and gaming
