Mana 137 - Worth it for a first time build (or at all)?

I won the Inwin Mana 137 case at a Barcraft event. I've been meaning to replace my PC anyways, and I'm thinking it would be therapeutic to build my next one. Does anyone have thoughts on the case in general or whether i should just give it away and start from scratch?

You won this? https://pcpartpicker.com/part/inwin-case-mana137

Boy, I'd think they'd have to be paying you to take it... (Seriously, what's with that bulge!)

If you like the case, go for it. Saves you a bit of money on the case. If anything, you can call it "My Powerful Bulge" or something.

Thanks for the note. I definitely agree that this case is all function, no style.

I've decided the design aesthetic matters to me, so I took an idea I liked and modified the parts - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PPJfBm

Can't (well, you aren't supposed to) overclock on a H97 motherboard. You'll be wanting a Z97 motherboard for that. I believe there's a Z97 version of that motherboard as well.

I'm guessing the 500GB SSD is for everything other than the OS and major programs? It may make more sense to just get a 50$ 1TB drive as a lot of that data doesn't benefit from the speediness of an SSD. And with the price difference, there is some other stuff you can pull off, like switching to a Skylake setup. While there isn't a major difference between the two performance wise that justifies upgrading an existing build, it can make sense to go with it if you're doing a new build.
