My first time building a pc and Looking for a gaming pc for 1200-1500max. I am willing to overclock but don't know how to and will look up how to if need be. I would like to keep to intel and nvidia but always willing to try other brands as long as they are good. I don't care for look sense this is my first time.

KIlleen texas is my location

games being played would be mgs5, arma3, far cry 4, LOL, and random mmos like world of warcraft and swtor.

I don't need any peripherals or a monitor.

windows 10 for the os

I know you said you don't want a color scheme, but a color scheme looks so much better and you feel more proud of it. I did not add a ssd but if you want one just let me know. The power supply is a really good power supply just paint it white. I hope your build goes well. Just let me know if you want me to change anything or need any help :) Also this PC is a kick a** PC so maxed out settings in any game you chose at 60 fps.

question about the ram from what I have heard you only need 8g ram to play games at max setting and that 16 is overkill so would I need 16 or could I go with 8 to save a little on the build? the wireless adapter I already have but it is getting old and am wondering are the ones you put into the build good and how are they good? the fan controller I would assume I would need sense you added in a case but would I need a case fan if I used a different cooler or would that cooler be enough to keep the cpu cool without the case fan? I would like an ssd but my main question with using an ssd and hdd would be how hard it is to setup an ssd and hdd together and would I need another os for the hdd sense its a separate storage device? newbie questions sorry. and lastly what kind of equipment do you suggest I have for when I build the pc? I already know about the anti static wristband other than that I have no idea.

The extra 8gb of ram is currently unnecessary unless it's needed for certain uses (you'd know if you needed it). Only one wireless adapter is needed, so I don't know why their list has two...

The case comes with 3 fans included. They are good fans and would serve you very well. You could add more if you want to, though. The need for a fan controller is entirely dependent on the motherboard and case. The case doesn't have a controller integrated, so if you want to run more fans than the motherboard has the headers for, you'd need a controller. The motherboard has 3 system fan headers.

You only need one OS per computer. If you have an SSD and an HDD, when you are first loading the OS to the system, you'll want to select the SDD as the boot drive, rather than the HDD. Then the HDD will just be a separate mass storage option (similar to how a flash drive is a separate mass storage option), but it will not need another OS to run it. A single OS license on the boot drive (SSD) is sufficient.

As for materials for building, you'll need a phillips head screwdriver for installing various parts. You'll also need something to trim the nylon zip ties for cable management. I personally like to use one of these guys to trim the zip ties, because it offers the best access without putting other wires in danger like scissors would: http://www.donjohnii.com/folders/projects/norcal40a/dike.jpg

I added the extra 8 GB of ram just for looks but no you do not need it. pick which ever wireless adapter you like better they are both great just the black one would match the build. You need case fans or else the CPU will move hot air over the heat sink which does nil for cooling. as far as i know it would not be that much harder to have two drive over one since you just select which drive you want to install the OS onto. You will need a phillips head screwdriver as well

Here is the dialed back version of the build also the two wireless adapters was a mistake there was suppose to be only one.

Great list. I'd switch out the CPU cooler for a cryorig H5 or H7, since they both are quieter and cool better for only a little bit more

to run games at max setting would I need to overclock or would I be fine?

You wouldn't need to overclock, but it might net you a couple extra frames. Nothing too huge, though.
