Wattage needed.

I was wondering if I have to upgrade my power supply. The estimated watts on my build is almost exactly what my power supply is rated at. Can I get away with this?

Possibly. But it's much better not to, as the wattage here isn't exact, that the components could take more anyway, and there's the chance the PSU you picked out is saying X watts when it should be saying X watts at short-term peak, 75% at sustained.

its iffy.... on one hand it may work, on the other, it may burn your house down... reality is likely something in the middle, but you didnt tell us any of the parts involved, so we can only go on what you did say. Either way though, its not advisable... better safe than sorry.

I eventually want to build a custom water cooling loop but for now i would be running a corsair H55 as a cooler if thats what your looking for.

you never told us your parts list or if you are over clocking, so we have nothing to go on... just post the whole build list here and we can go from there
