Deciding on 240mm AIO....or just air cool?

I've heard good things about the swiftech but I don't know if I want to drop 150 bucks on one. Any other suggestions?

I have a r5 case with HDD and optical drives. CPU is i5 6600k - I will be over clocking but nothing crazy - can I get away with a 212 EVO?

Thanks!

I would recommend a Crygoig R1 Ulimate, its currently is the best air cooler out there, it out performs the H100i and its much quieter or a Crygoig H7 if you want something cheaper and that still should meet your needs, its better than the Evo 212 in every way.

Intriguing....the r1 looks pretty cool and matches my setup perfectly - are the fans good or will they need after-market? Also there wot be a problem fitting it in my r5, right? This cooler seems reall big....I got a MAXIMUS VIII ranger and 4 corsair lpx ddr4 sticks....will this be a problem?

Thanks again!

It should fit without any issues, iirc the R5 has a max cpu cooler height of 180MM so you would need something insanely bigger for it to to fit, the fans are decent, you really aren't going to need anything else. I am considering buying one in a few months myself.

Can anyone else vouch for the crygoig R1 ultimate? It does seem to have good reviews on newegg...

Thanks for the input - do you think it will fit with the specs listed in my reply to vagabond?

"Put a fan on the read"? Sorry if I'm a noob and don't know the lingo

If you're referring to the fan on the cooler closest to the rear of the case, I can see how the mobo heat sink might interfere...

Removing one of the fans on the R1 ultimate - would that defeat the purpose of buying a dual tower cooler? Is there a slimmer fan I could buy to replace?

So it looks like I'll get the R1 ultimate - it performs well from what I've heard and goes perfect with my aesthetics.

Anyone else have dissenting opinions? What about the weight of the R1 - it looks so big - do I have to worry about weight strain on my mobo?

You don't have to worry about that unless you are dropping your case.
