If you take rebates this is a great build (psu is way overkill but if you ever upgrade you won't need a new one but it was the same price as a 550w after rebate so I thought why not). If you don't do rebates the other builds on this list are better budget wise.

If you're planning on overclocking you can easily get a cheap cooler later (raijintek adios black is $19.99 small 92mm fan but same cooling as a hyper 212).

Dark colours with hints of red.

Cheapest I could come up with granted it's over budget but if you subtract the monitor and OS cost its under.

CPU can be upgraded all the way up to an i7 on the same mother board. More storage can be added later in the form of traditional hard drives.

What would I need to play mad max cos I really don't understand any of it

  • 1 point

The game states the minimum for the CPU is an Intel i5. Which you are looking at an increase of about $120 or so.

this is an all around overclock build, the pentium with a very powerful cpu cooler for its price, motherboards b85 but can still hit 1.2v, a 950 superclocked by evga (great brand) and a seasonic power supply (another good name brand)

GTA and games of that type would play alright on this

as far as i know, expect high graphics

I am just saying, for a $500 PC you'll not be able to play Mad Max that great, and GTA V won't be higher than 30FPS on high settings, maybe 20FPS or so.
