600-700 EUR (500-600 USD) Gaming PC

Good morning!

I am here looking for ideas on what components I could use for a rig to play some GTAV and Witcher 3. It doesn't need an SSD or more than 8gb of RAM, so all the budget can go in the VGA and CPU.

Note: I meant roughly 700 USD (600 EUR).

Was thinking of a 6350 and a 270X or 960.

Awaiting your ideas :)

InsaneGoblin, I could create one for you IN Europe. Taxes are too high.

Also EUR is worth more than USD, so 600-700EUR would be 700-800USD

If you care about how much sounds it makes, please change the cooler yourself. :3 I've chosen 2TB because it turned out cheaper anyways than the 1TB ones, 2TB also is more than enough if you decide to put it full of sh3t The i5 will also do a whole lot of work for you, really strong beast :3 Make sure to upgrade later, you can get a whole lot of peformance out of it if you decide to upgrade your RAM to 16. Have fun! http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/83G3TW

So, to put it in between 600-700EUR didn't work out. It's now 700-800EUR, apologies. If you'd like it to be lower, just reply :3

Yeah, messed up the pricing. I meant 600-700 USD (500-600 EUR)

Yours is far too expensive. That CPU feels like overkill

Here you go! Tho there is ONE questionable thing in this build which I'll just clear up for you! TWO 8 GB RAM modules, yeah :3 It's just to let you have your opinion wether you want the speedier (DDR3-1866) 8GB for a bit more money or the a bit slower module (DDR3-1600) To help you with the choice; I'd personally go for the DDR3-1866 as it's only 6 more euros and you will notice quite the difference with these low-ish numbers because you're on budget.

Also I took AMD as it has 4 cores and gaming on 2 cores is a bit worse, even tho AMD isn't HIGHLY recommended for gaming (Pointing that out) But as this will work fine, and the PSU is only used 60-70ish % this should do it's job.

Edit: That you will use USB 2.0 isn't that bad, it isn't really speedy but it isn't crappy either. Also I think it will not come to a use too much? If it will be, then I am afraid of lowering the GPU a tiny tiny bit to get a motherboard in the price range of 60-70EUR with hopefully USB 3.0.

Have a nice day!

Very interesting choices. But why did you go for uATX instead of normal ATX? Usually uATX makes upgrades impossible, and most cases have issues when trying to fix decent VGAs.

Aside that, Very decent build. I was now doing a build with an i3 4170 and a 960. Seems very decent and ideal for gaming at that price.

But your build is quite nice as well

overseas prices are ridiculous, probbly taxes.. the list I compiled showed 731 Euros for Deutschland - Germany list, and as soon as I changed it to us, the total nett price came out US $731.. try it for ur self.. { http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mFhPrH } / { http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/mFhPrH }

Anyways, even the DDR3 Haswell i3-4370 is much better than the DDR3 Piledriver FX-6350 by a long margin in all benchmarks including Gaming:

See the DDR4 i5-6400 ranked ahead of the FX-6350 by a whopping 44% in effective speed, and this not make-believe-Bull, it is real-time uploaded user data benchmarks:

I'm afraid you compared the i5, not the i3, which costs double. Of course it's going to be better. Also, dual core for gaming is totally not advisable

Leave all the confusions aside dude, just see this comparison..

This portal -- CPU.USERBENCHMARK.COM , a real-time ACTUAL-USER benchmarking portal ranks the i5-6400 22nd ( Desktop 86%, Gaming 84%, Workstation 48% ) while the FX-6350 is ranked 202nd ( Desktop 60%, Gaming 60%, Workstation 39% ) !!

Again, you are comparing an i5 to a 6350. Of course it wins! It costs double!

I'm going to go with the 6300. Gets the job done, apparently

You lowered the GPU in favour of the CPU. The exact opposite of what should be done for gaming. Sorry
