Budget: 1500$ for everything

Location: US

Use (Gaming, Rendering, etc): Gaming, graphic design, coding, video editing, and possibly streaming. Also, I always have 1000 windows open :/ bad habit....

Peripherals required (monitor, keyboard/mouse, etc): Two monitors, cheap mouse and keyboard to start out with.

Operating System required: Don't care gonna try to find the cheapest way to get one that just works.

I've already had many options and am justing looking for the best of the best for this budget. I will have more money later on for upgrading.

No problem the xeon is the same as 4790k just doesn't have onboard graphics

  • 1 point

Oh, I got it. I don't need onboard graphics because I'll have a graphics card right? Doesn't the i7 have a faster GHz though?

  • 1 point

Right you wont need it. And yeah but you spend $100 and you wont notice. To get the most out of the i7 you need to over clock it which is best achieved with water cooling

  • 1 point

yeah not doing water cooling xP Thank you! Also for the time being its gonna be wireless is there any way to get the best out of it and do I need anything extra?

Thought this would be a good starting point. Great video editing and gaming capabilities. Also a 1000watt PSU for when you want to crossfire the 390X

So would cross firing be a yay or a nay?

depends on if u wwant to do it

  • 1 point

I mean is it worth it? Have you ever done it?

  • 1 point

Only do it if you want fully maxed settings in games, want a hotter room, and a higher wattage comsumption. If you are new to this then just go with 1 GPU.

  • 1 point

Hmm, highest isn't needed. I'm just happy if it's good.

  • 1 point

then if highest isn't needed, your fine with just one GPU
