I currently have this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sTNggs and I need to upgrade it this coming black friday. I have a budget of £500, hoping to only spend £300 or so. I live in the UK, so the suppliers need to be in the UK. I'll be using it to play games such as TF2 hopefully at 60fps and hopefully record them at 30fps or so (I have a fraps license). No peripherals or operating system required as I already have them.

Notes: My case comes with a built-in 450w PSU so I may have to change that. If I get a new case, I'd like it to be white and have a window. It would also be nice if the parts inside had a blue theme.

Your standards are pretty low. These upgrade should let you play almost any game at max settings 1080p 60fps. Why record tf2 on 30 fps when its so easy to run?

Not sure about just upgrading the graphics card, case and PSU. I wanna get a better processor, maybe a new motherboard and maybe replace the RAM.

If thats your plan I would recommend getting the i5 4460 instead of the FX series. Then h97 board and corsair vengeance 16 gigs.

I looked up the price of the 4460 and the 4690 is actually £78 cheaper so I'll probably get that. My current mother board is ok, it does the job and can handle 16GB of RAM. I may get 8GB of new RAM and swap it out with one of my current ones and buy a new graphics card with the rest.

Wow that's insane??? Usually the 4460 is the cheaper alternative to the 4690 so definitely go with the 4690 thats a steal.

here. I did this with the intent not only of going to 8 core cpu, but for you to over clock it well... which is why i added the water cooler... and i added that one because it was the highest performing cooler (air or liquid) for under £50. If you want to spend more, youll get more, but its not needed... Upgraded the psu to one of the best 750w units out also. And you have a 390 now, though feel free to pick a different 390 than the exact one i chose... i chose it due to cost and the pcs+ models are usually very good, but others are about the same cost as well.

this should let you play almost any game maxed out at high fps... have fun :)

I think my built-in PSU may just be able to handle it as I'm not overclocking.
