I'm looking for a cheap NAS that has at least 3TB-4TB of redundant storage, with the ability to add more disks in the future. I'm wondering if you guys can come up with something cheaper than buying an off the shelf unit. Small form factor is not required. Sadly I've really lost touch with hardware lately so I'm unsure what my options are for something like this.
It would be running some variant of Linux, and it'll be used for both company backups and as a Plex media server.
Budget is as cheap as possible. From $0 to $300, I guess.
