Building a gaming pc for me please ££

Going to build my first gaming PC but I have no idea where to start. I want to be able to play all high end games in probably the best FPS possible witcher 3, fallout etc. I also want to be able to use the PC to watch movies and surfing the web like a normal desktop PC. My budget is around £1500 but I don't have anything no keyboard etc. I will stretch over that budget if I think its worth it.

So could anyone help? also could people please give me there why they think I should build that type PC as I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing before I rush into buying loads of stuff!

This was a build I was told to build off someone from Reddit do you think this is worth it? would it be better to upgrade it to a I7 instead of I5? I have no idea Thanks

For a purely gaming build, you probably wont get higher fps from an i7 as games dont use hyperthreading.

A 1440p powerhouse. It'll max 1080p no problem, and you'll get great settings on the Witcher 3 at 1440p (great game, by the way)

The i7 is largely wasting money for any non-rendering or -streaming build. By "settling" for the Skylake i5 over the Skylake i7, it allows for a great 1440p monitor instead of a run-of-the-mill 60Hz 1080p. If you go with a 390x instead of a 980ti, you could budget in a 144Hz 1440p monitor. The 390x only performs slightly lower than a 980ti, but performs better than a 980. It'll still max anything at 1080p and offer fantastic performance at 1440p and even 4k. It's optimized for higher resolution

I'd go with this bout as good as its going to get. And like he said this will run anything you want.

The 390x doesn't perform as well as a 980 it's not too far off but still not as good. The fury (non X) is the amd equivalent to the 980.

This is the 980ti which pretty much beats anything especially when over clocked

I know you're using a 980ti but you said in your build description that the 390x was better than the 980 which isn't true.

The other guy said that I just agreed with his build lol I get what you're saying though and agree with that as well
