If you buy the boxed version, you will have a cooler with the CPU. If you're not planning to OC, it will work fine. Intel boxed coolers are ok.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless there was an update, there won't be a CPU cooler boxed with the K's.

couldn't find any that comes with cooler o.o

conclusion, I won't need a cooler if not OC'ing, rite?

You CAN'T run a cpu without any cooler. Buy a cheap cooler that fit the LGA 1151 socket, and put it on the CPU. Your CPU, will be thankfull all its life :)

you mean its not wise running K versions without cooler?

Guess a Hyper Evo 212 will do the job?

no he means that you cant run it. it would literally be a thermal throttling machine. 212 should be fine

No he means that it will literally fry the cpu and/or you will have a none working PC.

If it doesn't come with a cooler then buy one. You can't run a cpu more than a few seconds without a cooler.

I don't know what I was thinking... You're right, there isn't a boxed version of the i5-6600K. I think I mixed it up with the A8-660K -_-... Whoops
