Gaming PC w/Specific GPU & Additional $1000

Heya,

Done a little research but I'm very new to building pc's and I'd appreciate some help coming up with the best build.

I have an MSI GeForce GTX 680 Twin Frozr video card I purchased a few years ago with intent on building something but hadn't really gotten around to it until now. I'd like to build around this card as it was expensive when I purchased it and I'd rather use it than sell it for less than half of what I paid for it.

I have about $900 to get the other components for my build, but could potentially go up to $1000 if need be. I mostly play lengthy RPG's like Skyrim, and ideally would like to be able to play things like Witcher 3 at a decent frame-rate with the possibility of recording at the same time. Hopefully this is doable, go easy on me if I don't know what I'm talking about, please. :) Thank you in advanced for any help!

~Shy

Your card should be broadly similar to a GTX 960 in gaming so will run the games you mention included Witcher perfectly fine at 1080p.

A core I7 for streaming

Unnecessary with shadow-play.

Who says streamers only use

nobody says that.

The point if it wasn't obvious, is that there are ways around the i7 option for doing streaming/capturing etc. The i7 isn't a requirement any more than using shadowplay is a requirement.
