Corsair 300r - Cooling

I have a Asus P8Z77-V LK and would like to use the ASUS Fan Xpert+ software for manual adjustments to fan speeds. However, the motherboard only provides 3 fan headers with only one free for an additional fan. I'm planning to purchase the Silverstone Tek Sleeved PWM Fan Splitter Cable (CPF01) (Supports 2 PWM fans from a single motherboard PWM header & One-to-two PWM fan splitter) and two AeroCool Shark 140mm Red Cooling Fan EN55475 (For esthetics, 96.5CFM, 29.6dBA, 800 - 1500 rpm & Fluid Dynamic Bearing) up front. At any point will the fans not have enough power to run? If I add another fan splitter cable and 140mm intake fan will it overload the power rails on the motherboard?

I will run the stock case fans, therefore move 140mm front fan to the side vent for GPU intake cooling. I have one DEMCiflex filter covering the side. Should I get one for the top of the case? With static pressure in mind, is it essential to add another exhaust 120mm fan on top?

Why not just use 4pin molex, or a fan controller if your worried about overloading the motherboard.

Which fan controller would you recommend?
