£1000-£1300 (under $1900) Gaming + Multitasking Rig Help

I really want a gaming and multitasking rig that runs all games at 1440p at best (I perhaps only need a GeForce 980) but I don't know how to put one together so I thought I'd come here. ATX and a Mid ATX tower but no water cooling plz. I don't mind about noise level as long as it as its not going to be so loud that it goes through a Logitech 7.1 headset :) any colour theme would be nice and plz, Window on case. (I've been looking at the Cooler Master Case 5 or Pro Variant, IDK wether that would work for it.

Thanks for any help, CF14

980 is good but for 1440p this r9 390x is 100$ less and you wont notice much difference in frame rates. It has a nice theme red that im sure you will enjoy. Although the noctua fan are ugly brown you could paint them or i could suggest other fans for you.

And also, I might stick to a GeForce purely because of 4K and 2 way SLI.

Amd 2 way crossfire scales well also. CM EVO 212, cheaper and strong as well. And Cryorig H7 although it doesnt seem to be available in the UK

btw 4k is also a resolution so if youre looking for 1440p theres a conflict

Well if you are dead set on nvidia I would get a nice 1440p gsync. Only problem is that about £500..+

.. why?

My mate had it, and when he used it, it just didn't do anything other than make his Fans go faster... And, the ideas behind it are pretty much guff. There's no way to predict when the game is going to blurt out a new image.
