Just wondering, since I play some games quite a lot for a long time and do NOT want lag or any sort of damage to the CPU and other components from playing for long periods of time. Thanks!

CPU and cooler will have temps stabilize within a few minutes at a given load. If it works well for the first ten minutes, it won't be bothered for the next several hours. The Cryorig H7 is a good budget cooler that should have no trouble keeping the 6600K in check unless you're going for some big overclocking.

In this review, the H7 kept an i7 4770K OC'd to 4.5 GHz comfortably in the mid 70s:

The cpu has zero effect on lag and the H7 is plenty.

8hrs under load?, e.g gaming ? or just a few hours of gaming here and there and running idle?. Your build looks fine, and should play long hours, but keep in mind, a PC is like tires on a car.
