Upgrade to my current build - Assistance please?

While I'm okay with what I have right now, I figured why not get ready to take advantage of the upcoming Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Pick a holiday sales to upgrade to feeling down right spiffy with my build. I'm looking for upgrades to my cpu/mobo/gpu for gaming purposes. I can run most stuff on high, but I'd like to kick it up a notch. I have a medium tower, plenty of space, good power source, plenty of fans, 8 gig Ballistic ram (can update that too if necessary) 1 TB hard drive (but would consider an SSD if it fits in the price constraints) Current specs are - AMD FX-6100 six core Mobo - AsRock 960 GC-GS FX GPU - Radeon R7770 OC edition

My budget is max $600 (hopefully before some kind of good deal with the holiday sales) I've only ever used AMD, but would consider Intel if it fits in the budget constraints. I'd like to hopefully be able to spoil myself a little on this rig and maybe crank out ultra setting game play. Is it doable?

P.S. if this has been asked and answered a dozen or more times, sorry. I'm pretty new here.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

No, not going to buy anything until the sales start flying. I'm just looking for ideas and general directions to go in.
