EVGA 650 P2 or Corsair RM 750x

i5 6600k CPU - GTX 960 (will upgrade in the future)

both are so overkill for that setup. what will you upgrade to? being that both a overkill and both are $99.99, I'd likely go 650 P2 because it's more efficient and will be more efficient with the load you have there. even the RMx 550/650 or the 550/650 G2 would be more efficient than the RMx 750 with this hardware.

in terms of their components and built, would you say the p2 is far superior than the rmx?

im looking at 980 in the near future

nope, well the soldering is probably better. they're both very good.

yeah seems like 750x is a better choice for future upgrades

if those upgrades include two gpus in SLI. for the possible upgrade to a GTX980 the 550 or 650 watt is still going to be more efficient and all of these psus will last 7+ years without any trouble. "more" doesn't just equate to "better".
