how do you know this is built for console streaming?

i have personally been behind the scenes at various console tournaments regarding streaming. composite, component and HDMI.

you're going to need some kind of capture card whatever route you choose for console streaming, thus, the work of processing the console output is offloaded to the capture card.

i have the elgato hd60 is that okay?

yeah that should be fine for recording, so long as you account for it's delay with regard to using a separate mic or webcam.

most elgato capture cards have a huge delay, i'm not sure if that one has it though.

sucks that elgato is one of those buzzword name brands to lure unsuspecting gamers into bad price/performance stuff. reminds me of BenQ, Razer, Turtle Beach, etc.

EDIT: quick search shows me this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VttdMo6PRvc good luck!
