What do you guys think? I was trying to see if I could actually do this without waterboarding my CPU. I hope this is better than my current evo 212 and will work on my i5 4690k. Not trying for performance or anything intense, just an idea I had. Zip ties for fittings and prayers for everything else.

Maybe I should just go with an air cooler upgrade on an evo 212.

Might be for the best.

you may as well buy the h55 if you go with this junk. you'd be better off with a $50 air cooler.

I know, this is just for a learning experience. I just don't see many good upgrades from the evo 212 under $60.

This will perform no better than a bottom end AIO, which will perform no better than a 212 EVO.

If you are going to do this, get a 240mm rad.

If I get a 240mm rad, will it perform better than say a Dark Pro 3?

No, it'll probably perform about the same.

What can I do to improve it? Also, it is a little less than the price of that air cooler, so that seems like a win to me.
