Squishlake -- Some CPU Coolers Warping New, Thinner Skylake CPU Dies

Evidently Skylake CPUs are being manufactured on a thinner substrate than its Broadwell predecessors, with the result that some CPU coolers are causing Skylake CPUs to warp and, in some cases, crack. (EDIT: There are no reports of cracked CPUs.) Damage can also be caused to the pins on the CPU socket. So far, only CPU cooler maker Scythe is openly admitting the problem.

Just read this on /. it worries me as I have a i7 6700K, so I will be watching this very closely as hopefully the Cryorig H7 isn't one of the coolers that will cause damage.
