Does anyone know if you can fit a 212 EVO in a FD Core 500 Case? Also is there a way to search the forum here? I can't seem to find a way but figure there must be one...

Thanks

There is no forum search yet. Give me a minute for the CPU cooler issue.

I think it will fit, however you should consider the H7 which is cooler and smaller for around the same price.

Going on with GentlemanShark's comment

Not only is the H7 smaller for around $5 more, but it also performs better, has better RAM clearance and is easier to install.

Cool, I assume you mean CRYORIG H7? Would you do this over a Corsair H60? I'm getting an I5-6500 no overclocking...

Correct.

I don't really recommend 120/140mm rads since their not worth it in most situations. If you're getting a locked CPU, I would just recommend going with the stock cooler.

best place is fractal web page

http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/core-series/core-500

Supports tall CPU cooler towers, up to 170mm in height

so it fits as the EVO is just 159mm

But as others mentioned the cryorig H7 which is 145mm performs better than the EVO.

Cryorig H7 performs better, it's smaller, and costs almost the same. But if it's for a locked CPU then just stick with the Stock CPU Cooler.

I will fit yes, I've recently started planning on this case myself and feel a slim cooler would be best for space saving, for me that means my favourite cooler which is the Scythe Kotetsu
