Needs to be under $1000 USD. Needs to be capable of gaming (not like AAA titles, mainly like GMod, Rocket League, CS:GO, etc.) and being used as a workstation (3D modeling for school.) For reference, my school PC's have 4790s I'll want something around that amount of power, preferably Intel. Also, (don't quote me on this) I've heard that NVIDIA is better for CAD so I will probably need that over AMD. Thanks to anyone that helps, and all this needs to include is the PC, I have a separate budget for the OS, peripherals and such.

you can comfortably use a 970 with 16gb of system ram in your budget; you're even able to add another set to make it 32gb, or put that money into a better monitor/peripherals
