Building a rig for my friend who is looking to join the PC master race. He was going to buy a prebuilt rig from a company for $2000 and I told him I could build it for much cheaper.
The one he was looking to buy came with a 6th Generation i7 CPU and a GTX 970. 8G of RAM. SSD boot drive and 1TB hard drive.
I built my rig just over a year ago using a 4790K and an MSI GTX 970 so I know I can build it for cheaper but what I am not sure of is if the new Gen. CPU's are worth the extra money or should I just use a 4790K again.
I decided instead to ask the brains at PCpartpicker instead so what am looking for you ask....well...
I am looking to build a black and blue gaming/streaming rig with an i7 CPU, GTX 970 or better GPU, SSD and 1 TB hard drive, optical drive, 8G of RAM minimal, WIN 10 OS, liquid cooling (because water and electronic work good together),Wireless Network Adapter, and for the case I would like it to look nice but this is where I am free to ideas(I like the Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case but only if its on sale for like 80 or 90 bucks). My price point is $1300.
Thank you for the help and cant wait to see what you guys come up with!!!
