UK build Elite D: horizons

Hi, PC noob looking for a low cost build that only needs to run Elite Dangerous: Horizons at a reasonable frame rate.

Short of cash on initial build but needs to be upgradable going forward (not in this build though) to handle VR.

Graphics need to have a mini-display port to plug into currently owned 27" apple cinema display. If it could work with my current apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse even better. Edit: added in specs MINIMUM PC SPECIFICATIONS: OS: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit Processor: Quad Core CPU (4 x 2Ghz) Memory: 6 GB RAM Graphics: Nvidia GTX 470 / ATI 7240HD (DirectX 11 functionality required) Network Broadband Hard Drive: 8 GB available space

RECOMMENDED PC SPECIFICATIONS: OS: Windows 7/8/10 64-bit Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K Quad Core CPU or better / AMD FX 4350 Quad Core CPU or better Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: Nvidia GTX 770 / AMD Radeon R9 280X or better Network Broadband Hard Drive: 8 GB available space

Looking for lowest cost rig that can play now, that I can upgrade in the future.

I made this build specifically for E:D

I can't give you FPS because:

  1. The rig is currently inaccessible due to decorating.
  2. The E:D server is down due to Horizons being released.

but it may give you an idea of a budget system.

The GPU doesn't have a mini display port, I guess you would need an adapter.

i use to run this game on near ultra (lighting/shadow effects medium/lower) with just a pentium and 750ti, this should be much closer to ultra

threw in a fat power supply, should last you a while
