A 1700 dollar budget strictly gaming pc

I'm in the US. I need OS, monitor, mouse/keyboard, speakers, headphone with mic. I want to play AAA games at 1080p 60 fps (gta 5/witcher 3). It needs an ssd boot drive and hdd hard drive (1 tb). A decent internal wireless adapter. A DVD drive. I would not like to OC. Windows 10 home. For the monitor, 1080p, 1 ms response time, at least 60 htz refresh rate, 24 inch. The CPU must be 4 ghz minimum.

Overall, I want a 1080p 60 fps AAA gaming rig for 1700 dollars

"The CPU must be a 4ghz minimum" You do not understand it do you? That's not really nessecary...

Well... we could always suggest an AMD build. You'd be MUCH better served using Skylake until the Zen series comes out next year for AMD.

The monitor i selected is a 60hz monitor. If you want to have a 144 hz monitor it would break your budget (cheapest one listed is 200+) Thats a decision that you will have to make. This is an AMD build (which is generally inferior performance wise to intel), but meets your 4.0 ghz minimum. I tried to get a good selection of parts and alot of power so you can overclock the 8350 and your GPU and even should you deem it so delve into crossfire with room to spare.

(please note i did have my states sales tax turned on. So prices may vary slightly based on your location. Me living in NJ with 7% sales tax might make it look high)

Who knows, that they have 16/32 cores may promise something on top with the 40% increased single core performance..

NEX 650W.... I'd change that to a G2 for a bit more. The wireless adapter is better changed to the $30 Gigabyte one.

This build is the best build strictly for gaming with the parameters you set. Its has a good cpu, good mobo, 16gb ram, ssd and hdd, gold rated power supply, dvd drive, OS. Headphones, speakers, keyboards and mice are all preferences so I added highly rated peripherals that are popular. It has an AC wifi card. Also it has a 144hz monitor which is great for gaming. Most important of all it has a 980ti which is the best gaming card you can buy so you can take advantage of that monior. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
