Need help building fastest and longest lasting family PC possible

Hello, I have been tasked with building a new PC for my family. It will generally only be used for internet browsing, watching films and word processing etc. However in a years time it could be upgraded with a decent graphics card to enable it to play games. But for now the intergrated of the CPU will be fine.

The budget is £300 maximum. Just need the tower, no peripsherals or OS.

I was thinking of going all out on the processor as that is what makes it fast, yes? However I am struggling and would appreciate help. I figured I could overclock it in a years time or so when it begins to slow. I can pick up a good SSD for £30 so it would generally just be everything else.

I appreciate any help. Thanks.

I think this will be great. The i3 offers great speed and good gaming performance (once it gets to that point). It's all reliable parts, though the power supply only has one 6+2 pin PCI power cable, so you'll be limited on GPU options down the road

The total cost is below £300 including the SSD.

The CPU is fast and its hyperthreading will be useful for multitasking. The integrated graphics is good enough to play less demanding games and perhaps even more demanding games at a lower quality.

8 GB of memory will be great for multitasking and multi-tab web browsing.

The PSU provides room for adding a graphics card in the future.

If you've got any questions, let me know.
