CPU VS Air Cooler

Hey there, thanks for checking this out.

So my question is will the Cooler Master Hyper 212X be able to keep the Intel i7-6700 cool under load. Such as rendering, CPU-based games and etc... Or will I have to spend more money on a better cooler? Also, I'm not overclocking.

EDIT: I'm buying coolers only at these Australian stores, Centre Com, PCCaseGear and Scorptech.

if you're not overclocking you don't need anything special, however if you can I would say go with the cryorig h7, it cools a little better at around the same price as the EVO and in most cases it fits better as well.

if you are not getting the unlocked K version, it already comes with cooler. The locked version is just 65 watts TDP while the unlocked one which doesn't include a cooler is 91 watts TDP.

The locked version will be much easier to cool. If its going to be under load for long periods you will have a loud cooler. It wouldn't hurt to get a cheap cooler like the arctic which will be quieter.

I've checked with the Australian stores I'm buying with, but no-one sells them. :(

If the M9i cost that much then I'll take it! I wonder if there is a review about it.

if you see the M9i review you will think its a fake lol

a 125mm tall heatsink beating the hyper evo 212 (159mm). And in some test just 2 degrees behind one of its brothers (H7)

Its an excellent cooler!
