Decent Gaming Rig - $300 Budget - California

Good Evening Everyone,

I want to build a PC for my nephew, or at least get a decent parts list going for him.

He isn't going to need much. His main priorities will be:

Minecraft - Mods like FTB will be a must, so they are a little more CPU intensive Elgato/Game Capture - Probably the most CPU intensive portion of the PC. Live streaming as well if possible Amateur Video Editing -Might get him a copy of free adobe editing tools, but mainly the built in tools of Elgato

Please let me know what you guys come up with!

Thanks!

Are you willing to use mail in rebates? if so maybe consider this build. The MoBo also comes with a free DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX 400 CPU Cooler, kinda cool.

Well this is what I came up with. Apu is really your only option here. The mobo is nice and it has really fast ram which you want if you go apu. I put a 250gb ssd in there because it makes your pc so snappy but if you want more storage just get a 1tb hdd for $50 and save yourself some money. The case is decent for the price and it comes with a psu that is ok and fits your needs.PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

I'm tellin' you: FTB will never run above 15FPS for me. On i3-4005U, I do not expect this to run alot better..
