QUESTION ABOUT WINDOWS 10 OEM. Please help

So I think I understand how it works. it installs to your motherboard. So my question is this. I'm building a computer and have most of the parts. After I get everything hooked up and tested and I go to install the oem disk. Do I have to make sure all hard drives are plugged in before I install? I've heard if you plug things in afterwards it will stop working. And the last question I have is let's say my motherboard stops working and I have to send it back under warranty. Will I then need to buy another windows 10? Since it's attached to it?? Thanks everyone.

Yes another license would be needed. Yes if there are no drives there is nothing to install the OS onto.
