All I'm looking to be able to do is play Cs:GO at 60fps with the lowest settings. I also want to be able to record it as well and have multiple things open in the background. I dont really have a budget but would like to make it as cheap as possible yet still functional and quiet.

Here's the bare bones for a cheap system to do it. The storage solution is up to you (I suggest 1tb 7200rpm HDD).

No video card required, as the 6100 has surprisingly powerful integrated graphics.

That's right, but this more able to pack a bigger punch eventually.

maybe you should change that psu, for upgrade space in the future bruh, but I think antec is really solid manufacturer :)

agreed... though this looks like the bare minimum without upgradesconsidered. for under $300, this is pretty good. Doubling the psu budget for a 500-650w unit would make sense though as later you can just drop in almost any gpu and crank the performace way up easily.

So. Let me explain all of this.

  • An AMD APU is well known for budget PC's, a non-overclockable A8. CS:GO really does not require much, but to pack a bigger punch an APU will run fine for the years. (If you do not trust it, Fellway's build is great also.)
  • The motherboard because, really, at this budget a cheap one is all you require. No extra luxe included.
  • Speedy RAM, that! Surprisingly is the cheapest of all. That's a good one for you!
  • The case is cheap, and, out of my point of sight does not even look that shabby. Tho it looks old, but, I guess it should arrive brand new.
  • This PSU is a cheap, but kind of okay quality PSU.

Now, the storage is just cheap 1TB 7200RPM 32MB cache storage. It should run ya a while.

Sigh Wish my pc would actually be better than the A series.. It is so sad it is not.

;-;

There are a few aspects both of them profit from. That's why I suggested a way other build than Fellway. :)

I mean I was going a different way with different advantages over the i3-6100. Tho the i3-6100 overall is quite some better, some of these advantages might come to an handy use in the future or so.

My build * Quad core, who knows what games may come in to play. * Different performances with different speeds of RAM, perhaps a higher speed could get it some awesome performance tho I do not think it will overwhelm the i3-6100.

i3-6100 * More futureproof & newer * Better upgrade path BY FAR * Better intergrated graphics

Uhu.
