Is my PSU compatible with a non-sinewave UPS

I just bought the APC UPS BR1300G (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0038ZU2FC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00)

After doing some research I just got more and more confused if I need a pure sinewave ups or not.

I currently have a EVGA SuperNOVA 750 B2 80+ BRONZE, 750W PSU.

I see that the APC UPS that are sinewave is very expensive and really dont want to spend the money to buy one.

Is it safe to say that I can use the BR1300G without any problems? Or should I just get a power surge protector and call it a day?

Thanks!

would it be okay to use the UPS unit I have now, even if it is not a sinewave UPS? Thanks
