650$ USD gaming tower

performance and part quality are what im looking for (as long as it stays under 650$)

i don't need a monitor, mouse, keyboard or OS, just the tower and a DVI cable im going to be playing games like KSP, fallout 4 and space engineers on it

case doesn't need to look fancy, put that money toward the GPU or CPU

I put an Intel build as well.

Is it the best possible? No. Is it a great option at this price point? Yes. I'd take it over any i3. OC it a bit to 4.4ishGhz and it'll be a great gaming rig for 1080p.

Powerful, overclockable, and with one HELL of an upgrade path.

OC the hell out of the i3 by installing a non-K overclocking Bios.

OC the 380X a bit. It can handle it.

Then do the following upgrades over the next few years.

More ram when the price of ddr4 ram drops.

Add an SSD system drive.

Crossfire the GPU.

Eventually replace the CPU with a quad core.

The starting point? One heck of a capable machine. The End result? True PC Gaming Master Race glory.
