Should I use SP120 or AF120 case fans?

I have an NZXT S340 Blue/Black case and was curious which type of fan would be better? SP120 or AF120?

Thanks!

AF means airflow which means the fan pushes a higher volume of air. SP is static pressure which means it is able to push air through obstructions more easily hence their use on AIO cooler radiators. I would reccomend AF for general case fans

So I should use AF even if there's an air filter and front panel on my case?

This is how the case looks. It has openings on the bottom for air flow.

This is how the air filter looks when you take the front panel off.

So is the static pressure only for objects that are in front of the fans (where parts are)? Or also behind the fans (where the filter and front panel is)?

SP fans are only for CPU coolers/radiators, not case fans.

Ok AF it is then. Thanks! :)

The fan filter isnt exactly an obstruction its just to stop dust getting in. Also the front panel is designed to allow for airflow

Yea just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

Any recommendations for good 120mm AF fans for intake?

This is a 140mm fan, funnily enough it has great static pressure as well as great airflow https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/akasa-case-fan-akfn062 but they are damn quiet, despite being a barely known brand they make AMAZING quality fans, I reccomend 2 of these in the front and 1 in the back

the S340 only fits 120 mm fans on the back.

Awesome, will check them out. Thx.

neither. use two 140 mm intake fans. the S340's filter isn't super dense so you won't need fans with high static pressure. Be Quiet Pure Wings 2 will do the job. very quiet fans too. you can also check Phanteks 140 SP fans that perform better with similar low noise level.

Ahh nice! I like those Phantek 140's more. :) Thx.
