PC Build up to $1600US for Video/Graphic Design/Gaming

typsy

Budget: Got $600 to spend in various Amex/Visa giftcards and up to an additional $1000 to spend [Could scrounge up an extra $400 if need be]

Location: Southeast USA

Use: Video Editing, Photoshop, Music, Gaming, Home work station for programming I have an action camera that I've been using to create music videos. Now I just need a system that can handle all that. Video Editing and Gaming will probably my main uses though.

Peripherals required: Got a monitor, mouse, and keyboard

Operating System required:* Can get Windows from my Uni for free

Have been doing research for a while now but still not sure where to start. Finally figured out what I would need to be able to do on my system and saved up some sheckles to spend. Have used the logical increments guide and browsed nay stalked the /r/buildapc subreddit for a while and still find myself lost. Totally unsure about Overclocking.

Thanks! I appreciate any help friends!

Depends on how you measure.

In the dual socket build, it would have to be configured such that one cooler's exhaust is the next coolers intake. A pair of 90mm coolers is superior in that application, even if they are less effective when measured individually. Furthermore, if compared at the same noise levels, the NIC C5 actually has little to no edge over the Aidos.

The C5 is capable of cooling as well or better than many larger format HSF's, but at the expense of extraordinary noise levels. It's one of the loudest HSF's out there. 10-15dB louder than larger format HSF's to achieve similar cooling.

It is not "better," merely, different.
