Looking to build a desktop for use as a workstation with light gaming (€500 Budget)

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well. I will keep it short. I am looking to build my first pc that will be used as a workstation primarily but I would also like it to be able to play some recent games at medium settings if possible.

Graphics card (€120): https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-02gp43753kr

Hard Drive (€52): https://pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st1000dx001

Case (€55): https://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-spec01redled

Budget: €550-600 I have already bought the parts above leaving about €370/£270 budget for the remaining parts

Location: Ireland

Use: The PC will be used 90% for work i.e. I will need to have open 4-5 Microsoft office applications and dozens of internet tabs. It will also need to do light product photography editing in Photoshop, lightroom etc.. I feel 16GB of ram should suffice for this?

Peripherals required (monitor, keyboard/mouse, etc): No

Operating System required: No

All your ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking. Kind Regards, Shane.

Hi,

Thanks for your comment. Yes, the UK picker work for Ireland :). However, I only have a budget of €550 or £420 with about £250 pounds remaining.

I was looking at the AMD 8320e as it is only £20 more expensive than the 6300. I would like to look into overclocking it so I would want a motherboard that can do that.

Would there be a better Intel build possible or would I benefit more from the weaker multi-cores than an i5 4460 (half remaining budget) or something similar? I would like to be able to upgrade without having to purchase everything in the future if it becomes necessary to do so.

Thanks and I look forward to everyones parts list :) Shane.
