Just decided to get into pc gaming, with a budget of 800$.

Greetings, people who are smarter than I am! I have decided to finally bite the bullet and get a gaming pc, for many reasons, primarily gaming.

Budget: starts at 800$ and can be extended to 850$, and if I stop eating for a few days, I could probably get it to 900$, but I will appreciate it if that can be avoided.

Location: not gonna lie I don't know what's that asking about, so I'll just say my room. That's where I'll put it.

Purpose: Gaming, primarily. I'll do all of my work on it, as well, Word processor, and small stuff like that.

Peripherals: A monitor, and keyboard and mouse must be included in the build.

OS: standard Windows 10.

Thanks in advance and please be gentle. Explain stuff to me like you would to a five year old, because I know nothing about PC's.
