need a new Power supply, preferably 600w or more.
if u can find one that is brand like evga or something that is good for around $30-40 it'd be good.
"600w" + "good" + "$30-$40" = does not exist. brand alone is a poor way to shop for a psu. more than 500 watt capacity for less than $40 is the worst way to shop for a psu, but a good way to shop for a doorstop or potential fire hazard. epic fail list based on your criteria: https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/power-supply/#W=600,2000&X=0,4200&sort=a9&page=1
do you suggest me get a modular PSU? also, what about a thermaltake one? they should be good.
I suggest you spend twice as much money on a so you don't have to reluctantly buy another psu or pay for any needless repairs, replace destroyed components or pay any medical bills in the near future. and I've said brand isn't the best, definitely thermaltake. they have plenty of crap, mostly mediocre stuff, and sell several different platforms with very different performance and quality metrics under the same series name even.
okay then thanks..
the 650 GQ is a very good budget option. ripple is the same as the 550/650 GS, but load regulation is far better than the 550/650 GS.
yea, definitely one of their worst designs in a long time. not at all worth their asking price.
