good choice other than i could probably get 16gb of crucial memory, an ssd would be sorely missed and there was no OS included, i think id have to get a cheaper 1440p g-sync in order to grab all that, plus, im not really happy with the desk choice, it would need a sturdier leg design and top, the linnmon / alex is ideal, i will definitely keep these parts in mind

really sick build man, nothing you have suggested is at all sloppy, you know far more than i ever will, whilst you were gone i altered my personal dream build:

heres the system:

heres the desk i want:

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S99932696/#/S29047257

if i buy both of those i have around 100+ for a cheap monitor until i can upgrade and thats everything thoughts?

Id save that extra £100 pounds and get an air cooled gtx 980 ti because there will be virtually no diffrence and you can spend that on a nice monitor ;) im building a similar build a 1600£ budget though and X99 As it has better performance and theres nearly no price diffrence than Skylake but im waiting for the next Nvidia GPU's and Broadwell-E. Could consider that for yourself.

Edit: you can check out my build if you want: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/Yoh899/saved/q9jkcf
