Soo i forgot to say no need for a HDD, sorry that's my fault and if I may ask why would you go for a Fury X and not a 980 ti? And maybe spend a bit more to get a nice heatspreader on the memory? Just want to know your opinion ;)

WCCFtech -- AMD R9 Fury X Leaps Ahead Of Nvidia GTX 980 Ti With The Latest Windows 10 Drivers – All AMD GPUs Get A Sizable Performance Boost

Actually I'd say Wait untill NVIDIA releases its PASCAL series.. rumoured to be a quantum jump from the current GTX 950/960/970 MAXWELL...

I would'nt recommend buying a $3K PC right now.. It would be better to wait untill NVIDIA releases its PASCAL series.. rumoured to be a quantum jump from the current GTX 950/960/970 MAXWELL...

Thats what i was thinking wait for the 1080 ti or whatever its gonna be called and im not sure about windows 10 it doesn't look that much better to me than the good old trust windows 7

Absolutely agree.. Am using Windows 7 Ultimate at the moment.. But may HAVE to upgrade when Microsoft stops supporting it..

But that's like Q2 of 2017 right?

  • 1 point

That is not true. When they stop supporting it they only mean there will not be any more updates for it. Unless you are doing virtual reality then windows 7 will last forever. What counts in the power your computer can provide. I still have XP on some computers that I play Fallout and Crysis on.

Why would you settle for a 4gb GPU for gaming? I disagree with the GPU decision. I have the r9 390 and I am pushing 4.5 GHz before I start pushing the OC. a 6gb or 8gb GPU is highly recommended in the gaming world.

Saw on your other comment you didn't need a HDD. Take that off and you could get a larger and faster M.2 SSD.

I've already modified the other build added some stuff took some stuff away and got the build i was going for, but Thanks anyway but i was curious why didn't you go with watercooling at such a high end build XD

  • 1 point

Water cooling has its perks with lower temps at higher overclocks, but air has its perk of less chance of failure since the fan is the only thing that can fail on an air cooler. Plus, Cryorig makes some damn sexy and quiet coolers ;)

Yeah that's true but i want to overclock like mad + it looks better (my opinion) and the failure chance is low anyway.

Now the way I look at it, the maximum budget doesnt mean you need to spend that much, this computer is PLENTY powerful, but if you wish, I can make some enhancments to get closer to the budget

Also I added an HHD simply because its good to have 3tb of storage as videos can end up taking a lot of space and it just makes sure you never run out of room

The MSI X99A SLI PLUS rated -- MUST HAVE at Kitguru.com.. "EXCELLENT" at US.HARDWARE.INFO.. Widely acclaimed all over.. just google, "MSI X99A SLI PLUS REVIEW"..

Again a MUST-HAVE KILLER RED CASE.. I really like this one .. An EDITOR'S CHOICE -- 9.2 on TPU.. Techpowerup.com .. EDITORS CHOICE GOLD @ HardOCP..

Fantastic 2.2 GB/s READ, 1.4 GB/s Write rated SSD.. Mind u they run very hot though, 90-1000 C Plus at Full-Load... SSD.USERBENCHMARK.COM puts the Samsung 950 Pro @ 14% better than the intel 750..

A HOLY SH*# 9.9 rated PSU on Jonnyguru.. THE GURU OF PSU REVIEWERS

Chose the 980 Ti even as it is about 5-10% lesser as traditionally NVIDA CARDs have enjoyed a greater synergy with the Adobe software Suite.. If u are into casual editing, Fury X is the natural choice.. The Saphire Nitro-X probably..
