I have been saving up for this build for awhile now and I finally have the money. I am wanting experienced builders to create the most powerful machine with my budget. I will be using this build for heavy gaming, intensive video editing, live streaming, and college work. I want it to be overkill so I don't want to have to replace anything for a few years. Thanks!

For your consideration:

1 TB SSD as requested, Dell 2nd gen 2k G-sync monitor for the best game play.

The 980 is a great price and seemed to be well reviewed.

Win 10 is a place holder.

Okay... after seeing more requirements, let me try this again. (previous version had 240GB SSD and 4TB of HDD)

First - If your school participates, and you qualify, you MIGHT be able to get Windows for free (versions 7 +, probably the Pro versions, except 10, which has an Education version.) ... Windows 7 seems to have taken a price hike since some of these other posts. IF you can, you can promote that 2TB HDD to a 4TB HDD easily enough.

Second. I went a buck and change over. You can get a slightly cheaper 2TB HDD for data files if need be.

Third. The GTX 980 should last at least 5 years at 1080p (FHD.) Upgrade the monitor later and it should do 1440p (2K, QHD) for at least 3. Bump it up to 2160p (4K, UHD) and you'll have to turn down some settings to keep things playable.

Fourth. I gave you 16GB of RAM to use for your editing needs and gaming needs. It should last a while, but if it doesn't it can be upgraded later to 32GB (prob the most you'll ever need), or ultimately 64GB. Not the fastest RAM, but faster than minimum.

Fifth: It'll pay Fallout 4 and the up coming Tom Clancy title, The Division very well on ultimate or near ultimate settings.
