The only game I wish to play is League of legends I wish to play it at 1080p at very high settings over 100fps even in teamfights, would someone be able to help me?
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mr7pt6 This build is about 450 dollars but it's got some nice components including a very decent gpu and 240gb of SSD space. I really wouldn't recommend going lower than this.
Actually this one makes even more sense if that extra $150 is a big concern.
That's what I thought! Just an i3 would be a bit underpowered.
This build will run LOL at highest settings at ~100 FPS, it is also a great build for Dota 2 or Elite dangerous
To all those who think LOL still looks like season 2 sorry, it actually takes some amount of power to run
One last thing could I switch out the CPU for Athlon X4 860K or should I stick with the i5?
you could, is the only game you plan on playing league, the 840K may bottleneck the 380X
I would rather switch to an i3 because the upgrade path is better
Thank you very much
This is just under $600. Since I have a 390 and I can run LoL at 300+ FPS Minimum at 2560x1080, I think this should do.

This build is nice. Either this one or mine would suit your needs. Keep in mind that the R9 390 has 8GB ram and the R9 380 only has 2GB.
LoL doesn't use much VRAM. I only use 1.3GB of it, and I am at a higher resolution.
I think this should do the trick, however for $30 more (whether you remove the ssd or just get $30 more) You can get the 380X which will definitely get 100+ FPS, It will only display 60 FPS because Your monitor most likely only supports up to 60Hz, basically the most fps that will be shown. So just go with what I made unless you know your monitor can do 100+ hz
Things, you could remove for a lower price,
go down to an i3
Planning on getting a 144hz monitor because league is the only game I plan to play, so switch out the GPU for the 380x?
I owned a 960 and it did well at league butt during teamfights it suffered, i bought a 970. But if league is all you plan to play a 380X will suit you fine
2 cores is all LoL is ever going to need. The integrated graphics on the i3 is very good. The i3 also has hyper threading technology making it virtually have 4 cores. I know the feeling of teamfighting then suddenly having 0 fps. 10 seconds later your screen is gray. The struggles... FeelsBadMan.
What the **** do you guys think lol looks like
How would this build do?
This is overkill, but may save you a headache in a year or two when they do another big update. It will definitely run LoL at well over 100 FPS
Over 100 FPS
LOL can get very intensive during team fights and on very high this MIGHT get 30fps
And this would run league 1080p very high settings over 100fps?
No it wouldn't
