Need a pc build around $1,000.

So I posted a topic about wanting a green/white theme pc but now I want to see the best price/performance with $1,000 and no theme.

Would also like a build for around $1,500 to compare the two and see if I should just wait a bit longer to get an extra $500 for a better pc.

Thanks!

Could I ask why both of you picked i5 instead of i7? I've been recommended i7 by several people but I don't really believe it makes a huge difference.
