$800 budget upgrade or new build?

Hi all and Thanks in advance. I’m new to this forum and a noob to pc building. Budget - $800aus Don’t need mouse/keyboard/monitor.

At the moment I have this system a few years old now (first build roughly 2011). Can I upgrade? Or better to build a new one?

CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Mobo - MAXIMUS IV GENE-Z HHD - 3x 1TB RAM - 2 x 4 GB (8 GB) PSU - M2 720w

Games I want to be able to play are fallout 4 & Ark etc would be nice to play on high or ultra settings and run smooth. I will also be using it to watch Youtube.

Can anyone suggest a new build for roughly $800aus to play those games and can be upgradable in the future.

My opinion is probably just upgrade graphics card, numerous people still have 2600ks and are having no issues. Something like a 390/970 might be best. Also an ssd might be beneficial to your setup as well. Just my thoughts

You'd have to measure there. Since I don't know what your exact case is I don't want to say yes yet

eh you just really need a gpu more than anything, and an ssd wouldn't hurt. hope you're OCing that 2600k

with the rest of your budget, what about a nicer monitor or peripherals??

if i wanted to get 2 monitors with that budget, i would get 2 of the same monitors that are low lag and the same model like maybe a pair of this model

or this one

but personally i only use 1 monitor for now

120/144hz 1ms beast. i'll take high framerate over eyecandy, though

Ah k sweet. might look into them.

I have a AOC 2434Pw atm. but also have it set up to an 40" samsung tv

maybe use your current AOC and pickup a 144hz 1ms monitor or if you like eyecandy more than 120+fps, an IPS monitor for color/viewing angles/brightness

ah k fair enough. is the AOC a good monitor? might look into getting another monitor
