State Windows operating system in question and/or post a link to Windows version that you are considering.
e.g. Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, OEM or full retail.

OEM versions are only packaged as a DVD disc for Windows 7/8/8.1/10

If you have access to another working Windows system and a spare USB flash drive, you can follow the tutorials available in the internet on how to create a bootable Windows 7 or Windows 10 USB flash drive using the OEM disc.

Windows 7 also has option to boot directly off a prepared SSD/HDD.

No idea if a bootable SSD/HDD option is available or not for Windows 10 since I am not a regular Win10 user.
