Connecting case fan straight to power supply.

Just built my second pc ever and it was for my son's straight A report card.

I used the Apevia X Qpack3 and has spots for 2 fans(One is included and attached to motherboard)

The motherboard is the Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 and has one case fan connector. The fan I bought is the NZXT 120mm fan and has a 3pin connector. The power supply I used was the Corsair CX430M and has only two 6 pin power connectors available. I dont mind the fan running at 100% since the case has only one other fan. All the tutorials tend to mention molex but is there a better way?

No the only way to connect a fan to the psu directly is with a molex adapter.

You need the molex adapter if you want to do that.
