Looking to spend about £1500. If you can help create a good gaming PC that would be great. No monitor and disc drive needed.
An i7 is unnecessary if you only plan to play games on this rig. Unless you are planning to do some content creation, you are better of with an i5. For just a gaming rig, an i5 6600K can handle any game you throw at it. In my opinion, the £100 difference between the i7 and the i5 is not worth the 7% difference between the two CPU's. http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-6600K/3502vs3503 . Pair up the 6600K with a 980ti and you have a rig that will demolish any game you throw at it with flying colors. 8GB of RAM is more than enough for gaming as most games don't even come close to 8GB. SSD for your OS. HDD to store everything else. The EVGA SuperNOVA P2 has a GREAT efficiency and gives you the headroom to install another 980ti in the future if you heart so desires. All of this while still £250 under budget.
