I know that my motherboard is a little too expensive in comparison with the rest of the build. One thing that I want out of the motherboard is a good/decent audio output / port. The laptop I have been using has a very bad one, resulting in my microphone on skype sounding terrible(I have a blue snowball, it should sound atleast DECENT) and music sounds a hell of a lot better on my phone rather than on my laptop.

Any suggestions on a mobo? (preferably cheaper)

if you want best quality in sound, you probably would want to get an intel motherboard like the MSI Z87 G45, or the ASUS Maximus VI Hero. As for the mobo, it seems cheap enough

I was looking to spend under $100, I feel that if I wanted to spend $170 on a mobo just for sound, id get a sound card. Also, I do not want to spend more money by going the intel route. Im on a budget and AMD fits my needs perfectly.

I would recommend the M5A97 R2.0 it s great board with superior features. If you really want an improvement in audio consider a basic upgrade like the Xonar DG or Xonar DGX they are very inexpensive and will be a huge upgrade in 3 key factors.

isolation / noise floor bass response max volume range

for less than 30 bucks it is one of the best upgrades you can consider.

Additionally may a change to your memory lower in cost but higher in performance 2133

Best of luck with your build!
