Fractal R4 + ASUS Hero + H100i Will Those Fit? thx

Define R4 (Black Perl) + ASUS Maximus VI Hero mobo + Corsair H100i

Wondering if anyone has actually BUILT a system with those and had them fit? I've seen a bunch of reviews/vids where some mobos just don't work with R4 and H100i, or the fans are almost brushing against the memory.

If you've built a system with those and it works, please do confirm here.

Thanks a lot!

Highly unlikely the H100i will fit in that case. Unfortunately the top just isnt far enough from the mobo for really any 280mm rads to work.

H100i is a 240mm rad, and it does fit.

bah, i quickly looked at the specs on newegg and saw 280mm which is the total rad size.

It MIGHT fit. It absolutely depends on the motherboard with the R4. We could barely (0mm clearance) fit the H220 on the top.

Same CPU, CPU Cooler, Motherboard, SSD, HDD, and different color case with window: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/CTy (Corsair H100i in pull)

It is a tight fit, but you should be able to use it.

HardwareCanucks usually go over those facts in their video reviews: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FdpIrr3JNc

Plus they never ever pull any punches and always offer case manufacturers tips to make a better case. If you pass their muster, then you have a good case!

Hey, I have an R4, an H100i, and an MSI MPower in my build. The H100i fit fine, but I have it mounted in the front instead of the top however. I also took all the HDD caddies out, and only have an SSD in it (I have a 1TB external drive via USB 3.0 for storage, had it before I built my computer). To me it works great. The front also has a dust filter, which is nice since rads tend to cool better on intake.

Note, however, that the tubes are just long enough, so you'll kind of have to force the water block down a little bit if you mount it in the front.

oh interesting, so you got rid of all the drive bays? where did you shove your ssd/hdd? i will probably prefer having it mounted on top

I have it in one of the 5.25" bays.

I have the same question, with this as my build.
